Happy Halloween! And other parts of life...

Happy Halloween!! Sorry for the late post. It seems like time is just getting away from us these days. It could have something to do with an impending arrival of another child.... just maybe. Or an active 18 month old... or a daddy deep in the throes of the end of the quarter. Whatever the case, here are a few pictures from the past week or so.

Matthias loves construction anything... especially trucks and Bob the Builder. So, the costume choice was easy this year:

We joined the seminary community for a little trick or treating. Check out this gaggle of children and parents!

Matthias with some of his friends... and his pumpkin. He LOVES (!!!) pumpkins and will point them out repeatedly. (as he is doing seeing this picture... repeatedly, I tell you. Did you know there were pumpkins in this picture?)

It didn't take too long to figure out how to get the good stuff in the pumpkin.

Oh the treasures... most of which went into mommy and daddy's tummies!

Matthias and his buddy Julia... who happened to be an elephant... which happens to be Matthias' favorite animal lately. Joys abounded.

And in other parts of life... Matthias loves looking at books lately. Especially if those books have stars, elephants, or hippos in them. He will often wander into his room and just sit looking at books.

And Matthias is finally old enough to help mama bake!! He only tried to eat the muffin batter once, which distracted me enough to forget the salt, but other than that, we successfully made daddy some muffins to get him through the final weeks of class.

Mama filled the tins, while Matthias munched happily on his reward... a small pile of chocolate chips. Pure bliss!

And then nice boy even helped with the clean-up!
