A Busy First Couple of Weeks

Surprises and excitement continued during Matthias' first month with visitors, call day, and his baptism!

Grandma Hinz was the first to visit.

Then the Grulkes... MaryJane was such good practice for us this past year!

 Grandpa Hinz made down a couple weeks later - after the busy Lent/Easter time at church

Grandma and Grandpa Kohn made the trek from MI for Easter.

May 4th was Call Day and we finally found out where Elden will do his vicarage - in MN! We are excited to be close to family for a year!

On May 6th Matthias was baptized at the Seminary Chapel by his Grandpa Hinz. It was so nice to be surrounded by family and friends as Matthias joined God's family.

In the midst of all of this, Matthias even got to experience Steak and Shake and the Zoo for the first time and meet his cousins!

Studying with daddy

Matthias' second trip to the basement for tornado warnings during his first week of life - several tornado touchdowns were recorded around the St. Louis area that night. We forgot to bring his hat, so we improvised with blankets.
