February thus far...

Where, oh where has the month of February gone?  It seems like the days keep going by faster and faster. Nora is now 10 weeks old; Matthias' second birthday is rapidly approaching; Elden is done with his second to last quarter of seminary; and me, well, I suppose my big accomplishment this month is that I've actually managed to cook a few meals amidst the chaos :) In truth, I am happy the time is going by fast because we are now looking at less than 3 months till Call Day! Soon the weather will get warm enough to be outside more and the daffodils and redbud trees will blossom. But for now, a little recap of our February up to this point.

We finally had an actual "snow" -- Matthias' first! Last year when we were in MN there was one other snowfall that he could have played in... if it hadn't melted in 24 hours! So he finally got to play in some snow. And he's been talking about it ever since.

Daddy was gone last weekend, so the kids and I joined some friends and went to the City Museum. Matthias had fun riding on the train and sliding down the skate-less indoor skate park, but eventually the noise and large exhibits got to be overwhelming so we had to leave early. We may have to try it with daddy some day...

While we haven't had a lot of snow, it has been cold enough to keep us inside more than we'd like. So, to stay entertained, Matthias often pulls all the cans out of the "pantry." The other day I walked over and he had lined everything up so nicely! Daddy was very proud... mama was a bit scared/disturbed. Although, maybe this means he'll be the one to keep his room nice and clean :)

And our sweet Nora. She's getting so big!! She had her 2 month appointment and weighed in at 12lb 9oz! She's in the 90th percentiles for both height and weight. We'll take it! She is one sweet tempered little girl, really only fussing when she's hungry or gassy. Though lately she has also been letting us know when she'd like to be held standing... a new skill. The girl has strong legs! I think she's plotting to start running after her brother soon. Oh, and boy is she smiley!!

And a little brother/sister comparison. Here they are in the same sleeper at about the same age. They are definitely related... but their own little individual selves. We feel so blessed with our healthy happy kids!
