Army Hats and Artichokes

We've been having fun lately! Elden and Matthias broke into the bowls and did their best army impressions.

We got to take a long weekend and visit my parents a few days ago. Elden preached for the Ascension Eve service and then we just kind of bummed around home and got spoiled by grandma and grandpa. Matthias discovered the piano...

Gma and Gpa found a chair just his size at an antique store... he loved it!

Tonight we had artichokes!! and of course Matthias wanted to try some. It was hard to convince him that he shouldn't eat the entire leaf :) He ate a little and they chowed down on the split pea soup!

He did actually swallow this bite - despite the weird face he's making :)
