While Daddy Is Away...

So this year Elden has taken a few weekend trips for a class he is in (and one weekend for a conference). I'm HAPPY to announce that this was the LAST weekend!!! It was supposed to be a nice spring weekend here with sunshine and nice temps. Well, the weather didn't quite cooperate, but we managed to have some fun while daddy was gone just the same.

I found this blowup hippo a while ago and Elden blew it up before he left. Matthias has enjoyed tackling it... and reading his Bible to it.

 Our trip to the zoo was nice, but windy, and we almost got stuck because the wheel on our stroller about fell off when we were in the middle of the zoo. But we made it. And got to see a lot of the elephants.

Then we borrowed a stroller and went for a long walk with some friends to one of our favorite fountains.

Sat started out rainy, so we got some treats and tea and drove through a nature preserve -- seeing some bison, elk, and some funky looking deer. The bison were really close to the car!!

The rain stopped in time to got to the wild bird sanctuary.

Nora is 3 months old!!! She didn't really get into the pictures this weekend because she was usually sleeping in her carseat.

Matthias likes to drape a dish towel over his arm and announce that he is Jesus... just like in his picture Bible.

Today is still rainy, but daddy will be home tonight!! We made it!
