Our second week of vacation took us to Northern MN for a fantastic week at the lake with my mom's family. Matthias enjoyed playing with his cousins and second cousins, catching his first fish, digging in the sand and many other "traditions."
We love our week at the lake and it always goes by so fast. This year we tried to enjoy it even more because we knew the craziness that would ensue when we got home and had to move.
It didn't take daddy and Matthias too long to hit the water and do a little practice casting...

Matthias caught his first fish -- a HUGE sunny. He caught it about 30 seconds after dropping the line in the water, which was nice for this impatient little boy :) He actually did pretty well sitting in the boat and fishing for over an hour!

Eleanor didn't enjoy her first pontoon ride too much, but can you blame her with that bulky life jacket. Matthias loved driving the boat with daddy.
